The Royal Society of New Zealand Wellington Branch, in association with Royal Society Te Apārangi, hosts presentations from graduating Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington science communication students.

What a way to celebrate the end of our 2024 speaker programme! Science communication has moved into the professional arena. We saw just how vital and contentious it was during the pandemic. Scientists are now entering the fray of public debate, and it hasn’t been easy.

The exposure can be damaging. They need the sort of preparation and training offered by the School of Science in Society at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington.

Come and hear students discussing a range of topics and support our science communicators of the future.

This event is organized by the Wellington Branch of the Royal Society of New Zealand, in association with Royal Society Te Apārangi and the School of Science in Society at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington.

Venue: Aronui Lecture Theatre, Royal Society Te Apārangi premises, 11 Turnbull St, Thorndon, Wellington.
