The pH1 scale measures the acidity or alkalinity of a substance. The scale ranges from 0 (the most acidic) to 14 (the most basic).

  1. pH: A measure of the acidity or alkalinity of a substance, based on a scale of 0 to 14. Acidic solutions have pH values less than 7, whereas alkaline solutions have pH values greater than 7.
