Save the Kiwi week is an annual fundraising campaign and all New Zealanders can take part to help raise funds and help save our national icon.
There are events around the country, below are some examples:
- Kiwi art trail: Auckland, 9 Oct–3 Nov.
- Kids Kiwi Week Discovery Dusk Walk: Mokorua Bush Scenic Reserve, Whakatane, 13 Oct.
- Kiwi Week Night Walk: Ōhope Scenic Reserve, Ōhope, Whakatane, 13 Oct.
- Kiwi Week at the Whakatāne Library: Whakatane, 13 Oct.
- The National Kiwi Hatchery Aotearoa: Rotorua, daily.
